Piermont is a village located in the town of Orangetown in Rockland County, New York. The village is located along the Hudson River overlooking the Tappan Zee Bridge. It is only about 25 miles away from New York City.

According to the United States Census Bureau, as of 2000 Piermont has a population of more than 2,500 residents. The village has a total area of 1.1 square miles with 0.5 square miles of water. It is located at a slight elevation of about 100 feet above sea level.

The racial demographics of Piermont are 78.75% White, 4.72% African American, 0.19% Native American, 7.79% Asian, 5.49% from other races, and 3.07% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race are 11.62% of the population.

Piermont has more than 1,100 households, many of which are wealthy. The median income for a household in the village is $61,591, and the median income for a family is $89,846.

A portion of Piermont is located on a peninsula that has luxurious condos/apartments view scenic views of the Hudson River and nearby Westchester County.
